November 22 — Russian Psychologist Day

Abstract

In October, the world community traditionally celebrates Mental Health Day, which has been held on the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health since 1992. In addition, in Russia in 1994 it was proposed to celebrate the day of the psychologist as well, as a tribute to the people involved in this hard work. On November 22, 1994, on the initiative of the Moscow State University, the Russian Psychological Society was established, and most psychologists consider this day to be their holiday. It is noteworthy that the Faculty of Psychology of the Moscow State University was organized in 1954 exactly on November 22.
