Abstract

AbstractThe State of Rondônia is rich in species of Catasetum that are still undervalued, which presents a major challenge in the preparation of a map that shows the distribution and all occurrences of the species of the genus. As a result of our studies, four new records are presented for the State of Rondônia and a new natural hybrid is described and illustrated. Samples of all species were collected for DNA extraction (aliquots kept in the Total DNA Bank of Plants UFPR – UPCB‐DNA) and vouchers deposited at the herbaria UFMT and the RB.
