Abstract

This study offers a new approach to attain recrystallized textures with rare-earth (RE) texture components through post-annealing of accumulative back extruded microstructures. It was found that annealing of deformed microstructures at 400 °C for 30 min can lead to a homogeneous microstructure with RE texture components formed upon precipitation of rE-rich particles and further stimulation of new grains nucleation. Further increasing the annealing time to 240 min (or increasing temperature to 450 °C) resulted in vanishing of RE-texture component and a significant rise in the texture intensity.
