Abstract

Spectral Talbot effect in full-duty-cycle sampled fiber Bragg grating is proposed and numerically demonstrated for the first time. Based on analysis and simulations, it is shown that high-performance comb filters can be realized with the proposed structure. Moreover, it is found that channel count scales linearly with the number of samples and that high-quality filtering is still available with some fabrication errors.
