Abstract

In this paper, heat transfer characteristics of water- phase change nanoparticles during processes of solidification and melting for storage and release energy have been examined. The effect have and (SnO2 –SiC) nanoparticles concentrations on time of melting and solidification have been investigated. The experimental results showed that the solidification and melting times for thermal energy storage and release decrease with an increase in(SnO2 -TaC) and (SnO2 –SiC) nanoparticles concentrations. The time of melting and solidification processes decrease with increase of TaC nanoparticles concentrations to water/SnO2 nanofluid and SiC nanoparticles concentrations to water/SiC nanofluid.
