Abstract
Two new and convenient methods using triphenylphosphite or sodium dithionite to deoxygenate triphenylarsine oxide to triphenylarsine are described.~(31)P NMR spectra was used to study the reactivity of triphenylphosphite and triphenylphosphine in deoxygenating triphenylarsine oxide,pyridine-N-oxide and dimethylsulfoxide and the influence of complex MoO_2(S_2CN(C_2H_5)_2)_2 on the reactivity.The mechanisms of the above reactions are briefly discussed.
