Abstract

Novel tris-cyclometalated iridium phosphors with diphenylamino groups and multiple fluorine atoms incorporated on cyclometalating ligands are developed for use as doped emitters in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). The green phosphorescent OLEDs based on heteroleptic iridium complexes exhibit an external quantum efficiency of 30% even using simple device structures, which is among the highest values ever reported for iridium phosphors.
