Abstract
Objectives: Opioid free anaesthesia (OFA) uses a combination of non-opioid adjuncts and nerve blocks to achieve effective analgesia thus eliminating the risk of sedo-respiratory depressive side effects of opioids. Subxiphoid video assisted thymectomy is a novel minimally invasive surgical technique which involves thymic resection through the subxiphoid region, thereby avoiding the needs for sternotomy. We report the anaesthetic experience of experience of our novel opioid free ERAS thymectomy program.
