Abstract
Abstract Treatment of selenium-containing five-membered heteroaromatics with acetylenic dienophiles afforded several nitrogen heterocycles in good to moderate yields by using thermal reaction conditions. These reactions were thought to proceed through sequential [4+2] cycloaddition-selenium extrusion pathway.
