Abstract

Aluminum-Ion Batteries In article number 2203236, Hongsen Li and co-workers develop a Sn-based alloy (Co3Sn2) as a type of aluminum-ion battery positive electrode, revealing a bimetallic activated center alloying reaction aluminum storage mechanism. Both Co and Sn act as activation centers and alloy with Al to generate AxSn and AlyCo, respectively, which is fundamentally different from what occurs in other metal-ion batteries.
