Abstract
Photocatalysts with heterojunctions had attracted much attention in the field of photocatalysis due to their strong charge separation and transfer capabilities. In this work, a novel Bi2MoO6/Bi2WO6/MWCNTs Z-scheme photocatalyst was firstly prepared by one-step hydrothermal method. A series of characterization results showed that the ternary flower-like Bi2MoO6/Bi2WO6/MWCNTs photocatalyst was successfully synthesized. The photocatalytic property of Bi2MoO6/Bi2WO6/MWCNTs composite was evaluated by photo-degradation of reactive blue 19 (RB-19) dye under visible light irradiation. The results manifested that Bi2MoO6/Bi2WO6/MWCNTs composite presented the better photocatalytic property than pure Bi2WO6 and Bi2MoO6/Bi2WO6. Additionally, in the photocatalytic process free radical and hole scavenging experiments indicated that h+ and ·O2− played an indispensable role. Finally, possible mechanism for the photocatalytic enhancement of the composite were put forward.
