Abstract

Present research followed the influence of three types of low intensity electromagnetic field (EMF) on two hybrid nanomaterials and pointed interesting results with further clinical consequences upon the treatment plan of immunocompromised patients with co-morbidity which is indicated to physical therapy. The EMF effects were quantified by determining the change in microbiological characteristics of the hybrid materials containing silver nanoparticles as main component: the Microbial Number and the Minimal Bactericidal / Fungicidal Concentration (MBC/MFC) were determined, as they express the bactericidal and fungicidal activity. This laboratory, pre-clinical experience with the used hybrid materials provides important information for live cells number determination after contact with them in order to assess the rate of cell proliferation and to screen cytotoxicity.
