Abstract

In the study, we invent a novel pallidum nanoparticle as the catalyst for electroless plating nickel-phosphorous film on glass interposer by integrating amino silane grafting agent and polymer-protected pallidum nanoparticles. Characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), water contact angle (WCA) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), the configuration and the function of this new catalyst are explained. The promising Si-O-Si covalent bond formed directly between the new catalyst and glass accounts for the improvement of the average pull-off adhesion of nickel-phosphorous film on glass up to 9.40 MPa.
