Abstract
New mixed heteropolyanions with formulae XPb(II)W11O39m− (X = Si, Ge, B, Ga), XPb(II)W11O407− (X = As(V), P(V)) and X2′Pb(II)W17O618− (X′ = As(V), P(V)) were prepared. The results of conductimetric, polarographic, spectrophotometric, and crystallographic studies are reported. The peculiar structure of these mixed heteropolyanions due to the large radius of Pb(II) is discussed. The formation of new types of polyanions with the symbolic formula Pb(XW11)2 has been noted with X = Si and Ge.
