Abstract
New report of Singhiella simplex (Singh, 1931) (Aleyrodidae) on Ficus in TunisiaDuring September 2021, severe defoliation on Ficus microcarpa “Hawaii” (v) (Moraceae) was observed in several areas of Tunisia. Morphological identification showed the presence of Singhiella simplex (Singh, 1931) (Aleyrodidae). The whitefly was subsequently observed on various species of Ficus. When the paper was submitted (2021‐12‐26) this was the first report of S. simplex in Tunisia although another report has been published in the meantime.
