Abstract

It is shown that the general interaction Hamiltonian and the general expression for the matrix elements for the (e,N) process derived earlier (Z. Phys., 158: 44(1960) and Z. Phys., 162: 347(1961)) in the first non-vanishing order of the S matrix formalism can be used to derive the inelastic electron- nuclei scattering cross section in the generalized Rosenbluth formula.
