The motivation to use Kalman filter is the known fact that the Kalman filter is the optimum linear tracking device on the basis of second order statistics. The power control and the adaptive beamforming problem is presented in state space form. The two state space representations have been represented by one state space equation. Kalman filter is applied to estimate the optimum transmitted power as well as the optimum weights of the smart antenna.
