Notice of Violation of IEEE Publication Principles

"Determinating The Center Of The Ellipses Base On Extracting Edges With Subpixel Accuracy"
by Tian Ye, Lu Dunmin
in the 2011 International Conference on Computer Science and Automation Engineering, 2011, 131 – 134.

After careful and considered review of the content and authorship of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE's Publication Principles.

This paper contains significant portions of original text from the paper cited below. The original text was copied with insufficient attribution (including appropriate references to the original author(s) and/or paper title) and without permission.

Due to the nature of this violation, reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper, and future references should be made to the following article:

"Extracting Curvilinear Structures: A Differential Geometric Approach"
by Carsten Sterger
in Lecture Notes In Computer Science, Vol. 1064/1996, 1996, pp. 630 – 641.

An approaches to determination the center point of lines's width direction and edges of ellipses, from 2D images are proposed. For the center point of line's width direction, geometric models for line profiles are used to analyze their feature. From this analysis, algorithms to extract center point of line's width direction with sub pixel resolution are derived. To extract edges of ellipses, they are regarded as the center of lines in the gradient image of 2D images. Through the least-squares ellipse fitting, the center of ellipse is determinated. Finally give a conclusion about the center of gravity of the region, the method And canny filter.
