Abstract

The oxidation removal efficiency and its influence factors of phenol and COD in simulating phenol micro-polluted water by potassium ferrate has studied by experiment. The results showed that potassium ferrate dosage, oxidation time and pH are the major factors of phenol and COD removal. pH is a key factor of phenol and COD removal efficiency. In the micro-polluted water (phenol concentration of 13.29 mg/L), under the conditions of the mass dosage ratio of potassium ferrate to initial phenol is 25 to 1, oxidation time is 20 min, and pH value is equal to 9, the phenol and COD removal efficiency reached 33.75% and 40.55% respectively, and phenol removal efficiency had a good synergy with COD removal efficiency.
