Abstract

In this work, in-depth processing of leachate after biochemical treatment was performed using calcium hypochlorite solution + aluminum sulfate solution and calcium hypochlorite solution + poly-ferric sulfate solution, respectively, to determine the optimal condition for removal of CODcr and colority. It was found that the optimal condition was: calcium hypochlorite dosage 20 mL/L, aluminum sulfate dosage 7.5 mL/L, reaction time 5-minute high speed mixing followed by 20-minute low speed mixing for processing with calcium hypochlorite solution and aluminum sulfate solution, and calcium hypochlorite dosage 15 mL/L, aluminum sulfate dosage 25 mL/L, reaction time 5-minute high speed mixing followed by 25-minute low speed mixing for processing with calcium hypochlorite solution and poly-ferric sulfate solution. The effluent quality met requirements of the tertiary standard described in “Integrated wastewater discharge standard”.
