Abstract
We choose main streams of Irtysh River and Ulungur River as river corridor and divide buffer strips at rate of 5km from each riverside according to buffer strip analytic procedure, whose buffer strips are 10km, 20km, 30km, 40km, 50km and >50km wide respectively. Subsequently we calculate and analyze index of main landscape pattern in terms of landscape and patches so as to reveal radiation effect and features of river corridor of Irtysh River. By analyzing towards landscape corridor effect, we conclude that the highest patch density emerges in the 10km buffer strip and highest variance ratio is found in 10∼20km buffer strip and in 20∼50km lower, then beyond >50km, fragmentation is lower and variance ratio higher contrarily. Extent of fragmentation of landscape increases as time coordinate shifts.
