Abstract
After the boom of south-eastern China since 1980s, and the grand development strategy of western China since 2000, Central China will be the next highlighted area in economic development. The rise of central China, together with the accelerating development of the rest of China, will form a new pattern of development. Service economy should be the industrial pillar in the rise of central China, given its advantages in various service sectors. The essay focuses on the analysis on the potentials and strategies in terms of service economy in central China.
