Abstract

The aim of this descriptive essay is to acquaint the reader with some of the problems that occupy Soviet aestheticians. I consider this particularly important because many aestheticians in the West are biased towards Soviet aesthetics and their books and essays reveal a misunderstanding of the real aim and nature of Soviet aesthetics as a science.
