Abstract

In the spring of 1934 the writers spent some time in South America, chiefly in Venezuela, making mycological explorations and collecting specimens. While spending some time in the State of Tachira, Venezuela, the nearness to the Colombian border tempted us to cross over and do a bit of collecting there. The specimens here reported were collected in the vicinity of Cucuta, Department Norte de Santander, Colombia, on May 11, 1934. Our knowledge of the fungous flora of Colombia is well presented in a paper entitled Mycological Explorations of Colombia by Carlos E. Chardon and Rafael A. Toro, Journal of the Depart? ment of Agriculture of Puerto Rico 14: 195-369, 1930.
