He holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Urban University Rome; Bachelor of Arts in Music, UNN; Bachelor of Theology, Urban University Rome; Master of Arts in Music, UNN; and Ph.D. in Music Theory and Composition, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. His research interests are in the areas of the inculturation of liturgical music and general compositional research from an ethnomusicological perspective with a theological bent in sacred /liturgical music. He teaches courses on music theory, tonal harmony, tonal counterpoint, orchestration, analysis, and analytical styles of twentieth-century music and modern compositional techniques.Bernardo A.
