Abstract

Intermittently during 1942, 1943 and 1944, we assembled a collectiotn of reptiles and amphibians from Princess Anne County, Virginia, representing 58 species and subspecies. With few exceptions, the forms listed are represented by preserved specimens, most of which are now in the collection of the Carnegie Museum, and in only a few cases, i.e., Crotalus horriduts atricaudatus, Ophisaurus ventralis ventralis, Malaclemys centrata concentricat and Triturus viridescens viridescens, are records based merely upon specimens observed in the field but not preserved.
