Notes for Notes Paul Cary and Isabella Pilar The Riemenschneider Bach Institute (RBI) at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for two financial awards in support of scholarship. • The Martha Goldsworthy Arnold Fellowship provides support to scholars visiting the RBI to do research in the collections. See https://libguides.bw.edu/rbi/research/scholars. • The American Bach Society's Frances Alford Brokaw Grant supports an undergraduate student from any college or university to do independent research in the RBI, with the assistance of our faculty. A renowned research center located at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, the Riemenschneider Bach Institute houses numerous rare items, ranging from the Renaissance to the present day. Highlights include rare scores related to Bach and his circle; archives of the Baldwin Wallace Bach Festival, Hans T. David, and the Riemenschneider family; nineteenth-century first edition scores; and the Jack Lee collection of musical theater scores, programs, and memorabilia. Every year, the Riemenschneider Bach Institute welcomes scholars from around the globe, as well as undergraduate students and visiting classes. Paul Cary Baldwin Wallace University ________ Philharmonic conductor Bernard Rubenstein has generously donated a collection of music manuscripts and resources to the University of New Mexico Libraries. Rubenstein has held numerous conducting and director posts for orchestras in the United States, Latin America, and Europe, including the Stuttgart Opera and Santa Fe Opera. The collection will be available for use at the University's Fine Arts and Design Library. It includes late nineteenth- through twenty-first century print musical scores, conductor's notes, monographs, periodicals, and LPs. The collection is discoverable now under the Rubenstein Musical Scores Collection through the University of New Mexico Libraries online catalog.
