Abstract

Announcement has been made of the availability of Fulbright Awards for 1953–1954 for university lecturing and post‐doctoral research in Europe, the Near East, Japan, Pakistan, the Union of South Africa, and the colonial dependencies of the United Kingdom. Among the awards to be made are: (1) for a specialist in seismology who, in addition to teaching courses bearing on exploration by seismic methods, will also be expected to teach a course in general geophysical exploration methods (France); and (2) a specialist in petroleum exploration research by electrical and magnetic methods involving six months of laboratory work and two or three months of field work (Italy). The closing date for making applications for these awards is October 15, 1952.
