Abstract

The extraction behavior of Zr, Hf, Nb, and Ta in the system of tri-n- octyl phosphine oxide (TOPO)-cyclohexane and HCl or HNO/sub 3/ was investigated. The distribution ratio, determined by tracer studies, when plotted versus logarithmic TOPO concentration, showed a constant slope of about 2 in all cases. (M.C.G.)
