Abstract
The impedance characteristics of an L-shaped wire monopole antenna are experimentally inestigated. The effect of different ratios of the horizontal arm length to the height of the L-shaped monopole on the impedance characteristics is discussed. The inestiga- tion demonstrates how a monopole with an oerall quarter-waelength () conerts to a low-profile small inerted-L antenna ILA .
