Abstract

In the first chapter we introduce the main mathematical supplements to the standard course of analysis which are necessary in the studies of quantum field theory (QFT). We outline these topics in a minimal extent (referring to the easily available literature): the theory of distributions, the functional differentiation (differentiation in infinite number of dimensions) and the basic notions of group theory. We discuss in more detail the Gaussian functional integral as an integral in infinite number of dimensions.
