Abstract

The article evaluates the theoretical and methodological axes which are the basis of the Nupedor research trajectory in view of the experiences of land reform in the State of Sao Paulo, discussing hypotheses, the relationship between management agencies, emphasizing differentiations and the multidimensional reality of such processes. Questioning the unique characteristics of theoretical models, this study corroborates the pluralistic analytical approaches, which suggests a path for interdisciplinary study, focusing on practical strategies for combining qualitative and quantitative methods allowing for a broader analysis of the development trajectories in rural settlements. Keywords: Multidisciplinary research; Agrarian reform; Rural settlements.
