Abstract
Background: Speech difficulties resulting from facial palsy have an adverse effect on quality of life. Historically treatment has been non-surgical, involving such modalities as speech-and-language therapy and physiotherapy. We present a novel case in which a midface lift was employed to treat dysarthria. To the authors’ knowledge, this is the first description of this technique.
