Abstract

The Northern Sea Route is the shortest route between the ports of Northern Europe and Asia. In the summer time the route is open for navigation for about 3-4 months and could be a preferable alternative in comparison with the southern route through the Suez Canal. Paper provides a current conditions overview of The Northern Sea Route, potential opportunities seem to be profitable and perspective for a worldwide shipping.
