Abstract

RATIONALE: Juniperus pollen has been reported as a major spring allergen in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. Much of northern New Mexico is vegetated with mixed stands that contain Juniperus scopulorum and/or Juniperus monosperma. The present study was undertaken to document spring pollen levels and types and to aid in the development of a pollen forecast and warning system for Juniperus.
