Abstract

This chapter provides an insight into certain laws and bylaws and the ways in which they regulate the field of critical infrastructure protection in North Macedonia. It indicates that these acts are a good basis for initiating a normative framework as a fundamental basis for the identification and designation of critical infrastructure. The chapter presents an analysis of the current situation in North Macedonia related to the initiative to develop a critical infrastructure protection system. In recent years, public-private partnership has become a key initiative in the Republic of North Macedonia and has gained an increasingly prominent role. Each entity contributes to the specific resources of the system, participates in planning, decision-making and strives to enhance the resilience and protection of critical infrastructure. In addition, of particular importance for critical infrastructure protection is the 2018 meeting between the EU and the external partners of the critical infrastructure protection system.
