Abstract

IN THE preceding article was presented a study of North American blastomycosis based on a review of the literature. The purpose of this communication is to describe the results of a critical analysis of all previously reported Canadian cases and to add another report of a case to the literature. Primrose 1 presented the first Canadian publication relating to the disease in 1909, though he had published an earlier report of this case in 1906 in the Edinburgh Medical Journal . 3 His paper dealt mainly with a further description of the same patient from Toronto, but also included notes on 3 additional cases. This patient, a 28 year old man of English birth, had a history of the disease dating back to January 1901.
