Abstract
The study was designed to provide normative data for Ugandan sample of third through seventh grade children ( n = 711) on Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale. Girls ( n = 352) scored significantly higher than boys ( n — 359) on the anxiety scale. Significant differences on the Lie scale were associated with grade. Comparison of the present mean scores of Ugandan school children with those reported by various American authors underlines the importance of considering ecological differences in future cross-cultural studies with this scale. The collection of further normative data is also suggested.
