In summary, the power of coding techniques is demonstrated by the novel image coded x-ray camera with the following properties: a) all other cameras require pointing stability during exposure; the SCX camera requires only spin stability, b) it uses the most advanced single element detector, c) it has no moving parts, d) the signal is one-dimensional periodic in time, enabling simple telemetry, e) the signal is repetitive and is easily time-averaged to enhance signal/noise ratio, and f) has a larger aperture and a wider field of view than previously possible.
