AbstractRetail ‐ Apparel and Accessory Stores (MIC: 5.8 SIC: 5651 NAIC: 448140)Nordstrom is a fashion specialty retailer. As of Dec 31 2006, Co. operated 98 full‐line Nordstrom stores; 50 discount Nordstrom Rack stores, which served as outlets for clearance merchandise from its full‐line stores and purchase merchandise directly from manufacturers; one free‐standing shoe store and two clearance stores that operate under the name Last Chance. Co. also sells high‐quality apparel, shoes, cosmetics and accessories on the Web at www.nordstrom.comas well as through its catalogs. In addition, Co. operates four U.S. based Faconnable boutiques and 36 Faconnable boutiques in France, Portugal and Belgium through its Other segment.
