Abstract

Objectives: The number of elderly patients diagnosed with primary liver carcinoma is expected to increase. Transarterial chemoembolization(TACE), radiofrequency ablation(RFA), stereotactic body radiation therapy(SBRT) and radioembolization with yttrium-90(RE) are curative and palliative local interventions in this setting. Their therapeutic benefit and toxicities in the elderly population are largely unknown.
