Abstract
The nonstationary effects, arising in the many-sphere hydrodynamic interactions, transmitted through an incompressible, viscous fluid, are analysed. The paper concerns the linearized Stokes flows. The influence of the nonstationary effects on the hydrodynamic forces, experienced by the spheres, is discussed. It is shown that the nonstationary forces exhibit a different behavior, depending on the ratio of the distances between the centres of the spheres and the viscous length.
