Abstract
Nonsimilar solutions for Forchheimer unsteady free convection over a vertical flat plate embedded in a porous medium with surface suction have been obtained. The non-Darcy model is employed to describe the flow in the porous medium. Numerical results are presented for the details of the transient velocity and temperature fields. The effects of the inertial parameter and the surface suction on the temperature and velocity profiles are discussed
