Abstract

We reply to the comment on our recent article [Optica6, 104 (2019)OPTIC82334-253610.1364/OPTICA.6.000104], in which we demonstrated that nonreciprocal cavities comply with the resonance time-bandwidth limit. We fully stand by our original claims and further elucidate how breaking of reciprocity is not required to achieve the large field enhancements and time-bandwidth products observed in the comment and our article. We also further clarify that these hotspots do not overcome the conventional time-bandwidth limit.
