Abstract

The authors present a nonradiative dielectric (NRD) waveguide to rectangular waveguide transition which operates in the millimetre wave band. The aim of this transition is to match systems in NRD technology to standard rectangular waveguides. Simulation and measurement results, in term of return and insertion losses, are presented in two frequency bands: 30 – 40 GHz and 45 – 55 GHz. This transition will then enable to feed millimetre wave functions, enabling to design feed structures for antenna arrays, especially multibeam.
