Abstract

ABSTRACT The majority of studies in the service learning field focus on campus-based impacts of service learning and community service. In order to provide a more balanced understanding of the impacts of service learning, this study examined college student service learning and volunteer activities from the nonprofit agency perspective. Findings from this qualitative study revealed the positive and negative impacts that college student volunteers and service learners have at the agencies where they serve and on the youth they provide service for.
