Abstract

A 47-year-old woman was brought to the hospital with a 2-week history of worsening nonproductive cough, dyspnea on exertion, malaise, and night sweats. She denied fever, hemoptysis, or pleuritic chest pain. A chest radiograph performed at her local hospital showed bilateral lung infiltrates, and she was treated with a 10-day course of oral doxycycline without improvement.
