Abstract

The interference effects in the double differential ionization cross section of H2 are studied theoretically. Theoretical, non-perturbative models (Volkov model, numerical solution of the TDSE) developed for the ionization of atomic systems by intense ultrashort laser pulses are applied with success to study the ionization by fast charged particle impact. These results are compared with those obtained by a perturbative impact parameter method.
