Abstract

A theoretical analysis is carried out to study the impact of rotational inertia, couplestress and ferrofluid on rotating squeeze film porous annular plates using Morgan-Cameron approximation and Shliomis model for ferromagnetic fluid is presented in this paper. The squeeze film characteristics obtained in this analysis shows that the effect of couplestress ferrofluid enhance the pressure, load carrying capacity and squeezing time and also the consequence of permeability and rotational inertia decrease the squeeze film features.
