Abstract
Preview Heightened awareness and early diagnosis of skin cancer are vital for timely treatment. Primary care physicians who can recognize malignant and premalignant lesions of the skin have an important role in improving cure rates, limiting morbidity, and decreasing healthcare costs. The authors discuss management of basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas, emphasizing risk factors and patient education.
